The ASPCA was founded in 1866 as the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then, and the battle to fight animal cruelty today. Whether it's saving a pet who has been accidentally poisoned, fighting to pass humane laws, rescuing animals from abuse or sharing resources with shelters across the country, the ASPCA works toward the day in which no animal will live in pain or fear.

The ASPCA understood early on that monthly donor programs can increase annual giving, year after year retention, and overall lifetime value of a donor.  In 2007, Telefund recruited 7,651 donors to become Guardians with an average monthly gift of over $16.  Starting in November of 2007, we began a monthly program to call sustainers whose credit cards failed to process.  Through this program, we were able to save the organization $12,000 to $18,000 in monthly revenue.  So far in 2008, Telefund has recruited close to 4,000 new sustainers, and we're aiming to beat our 2007 record.

"Those were incredible numbers on the Guardian invite calling last night...one of the best nights I've ever seen both in contacts and in sustainer conversion rate to credit card.  Please tell the team in Denver that they knocked me out of my chair with those numbers.  With results like these...you can call until we completely run out of records." -Steve Froehlich, Director of Development Analytics, ASPCA.
