After spending almost twenty years in the call center technology industry, it's very rewarding to be able make that experience work for progressive fund raising. It might seem I've come late to Telefund; however, I've long been associated with progressive politics. My earliest political memories are of my mother successfully suing her employer, one of the largest at the time, for discrimination. In fact, my first paying job was to help with a union organizing effort.
As a graduate student, I was galvanized during one of the early
assaults on science education. The recent revival of that effort,
I think, led me to seek employment with a company that supports
progressive alternatives to current cynical politics. While I'm
excited to support our client's causes, I'm especially passionate
about being able to contribute women's health rights and our democratic
political institutions.
