Telefund Leadership

Chris Franco
Senior Call Center Director, Los Angeles

In 1988, I helped Hyam Kramer found the first Telefund office, in an attic in Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA. I was excited by the idea that through Telefund, I could have an impact on a wide array of social and political issues, and could also provide an opportunity for others to have such an impact through their calling with us.

Over the years, we have grown from a couple of callers in an attic to hundreds of staff in two locations. Telefund callers have spoken with countless people all over the country, raising funds and support for many non-profit organizations and political campaigns. And now, on a daily basis, it is my privilege to organize staff and systems in our Los Angeles office so that we can reach millions more people and speak with them about solving the social and political challenges facing our society and world.

Chris Franco has worked with progressive non-profit organizations and their fundraising programs for 20 years. Chris is the senior person responsible for caller training and development, and she handles on-site monitoring of caller performance for our Los Angeles center.
