Call Center Director, Santa Barbara
I joined the Telefund team as a caller in August of 2000. At the time we were working on getting another Democrat in the oval office and calling for progressive organizations such as HRC, Amnesty International, and the Sierra Club. As I called for these groups and learned more about the issues and how they relate to each other, I realized that it was going to take a lot of work to change things; I have never looked back.
I have trained and supervised new callers here in Santa Barbara, and at our Los Angeles and Austin offices. I am always so excited to find people just like me who want to make a difference through their job. I became an Assistant Director of our Santa Barbara call center in 2006, and the Director in 2007; along the way I have witnessed the success of our hard work, like winning a Democratic majority in Congress in 2006. I am very lucky to be able to combine my own desire and enthusiasm for making a difference in the world with helping teach others how to do the same.
